City and poetry
City and poetry belongs to the "City" series
On the creation of this work -
Urban centers were, as most of the time, the source of inspiration for this work. This artwork emerged after listening to the song by the musical band U2, “Where the streets have no name”. The city is obviously dark and empty, sterile. However, the colorful, fluttering flags over the city play a crucial role in the artist's conception. In the poetics of this work, they appear light and are tied to nothing, always bringing good vibration and joy... A character walks on them, it is not known whether he/she is coming or going... For some observers, he/she is leaving, for others, he/she is coming down to the city. A question remains in the air - A hero/heroin or a deserter? Media used - Paper and pastel
