The artist was born in Porto Alegre and since childhood her universe has always been surrounded by a significant artistic world. In 2005 she began to dedicate herself diligently to painting. Her figurative pictorial work is usually accompanied by signs that remind us of music, books or dance, which are almost always inserted in cities, seeking to show the contrasts between the concrete and the ephemeral, the material and the spiritual - artificial life contrasting to the ineffable search for liberation or elevation of the being.

The artist seeks, in the transparency of her washes and in the constant presence of delicate feminine beings, to lead the observer to perceive the subtlety of his/her inner universe, in contrast to the sterile cement represented by the cities that surround them and which leads them to a path full of artificialisms. Enchanted by the abstract style, her poetics turns to sacred geometry, represented by the micro particles that make up atoms and the universe. From this idea, creations linked to nature emerge, such as flowers, plants and tribal motifs, which are developed in a semi-abstract style.

The technique the artist uses varies between acrylic, watercolor, pastel and digital art, usually accompanied by collages, which constitute a need for contemporary expression. Among shapes and colors with a singular trace, her art evokes a certain intellectual touch, accompanied by the presence of the lyrical and dreamlike. When observing her work, many connoisseurs of the artistic universe feel thrown into the fantastic, magical world of Marc Chagall.

Yiara Hillebrand began exhibiting her work in 2009, when she became a partner with the Art Gallery / Artclub in Brazil, reviewing and translating texts by artists participating in art yearbooks. From then on, her participation in magazines and art books, as well as in group exhibitions, both in Brazil and Europe became usual. In 2016, the artist began to be enchanted by printing and the possibilities offered by the universe of digital images. In 2017 the artist began a new series of works. She then uses some of her paintings as a matrix and adds new shapes and colors to them through digital art, discovering new meanings within the pictorial universe.

In 2021 she began producing her own "fine art" through manual printing on canvas and paper.

Throughout her career, the artist has participated in uncountable group exhibitions, both in Brazil and abroad, being awarded with gold, silver and bronze medals. She holds solo exhibitions in Brasília and, more recently and virtually, in Brazil and Europe.

Her work is also part of private collections in Germany, Belgium and England.
