Breeze
Breeze is part of the Semi Abstract series
On the creation of this work -
Given the artist's passion for greenery, plants and flowers, it is no wonder that at some point in her artistic career she gave in to the trend towards abstraction, as this would offer new possibilities to explore florals from a new perspective. Without ceasing to be figurative, but bringing an abstract touch with them, the flowers and green plants began to emerge in the artist's imagination, without being accompanied by the stories that the artist normally tells through the images. Not that the flowers don't contain their stories in this new phase, but they are looser and more ethereal, stripped of everything else, as if they, in themselves, carried all the necessary meaning and message. However, they do not appear out of nowhere but from lines made on colored cardboard. For the artist, these lines represent the balance of the yin yang of Eastern philosophy which, in the artist's conception, attract the presence of elements that make up nature such as luminous tiny particles (electrons). This new phase takes the artist to different researches in the digital world too and is echoed in the works that follow in the series. In this new phase, the figurative imagery is diluted, giving rise to something more subtle and even lighter than the works carried out until then. Media used - Paper, card paper, pencil, pastel and digital art.
